How Poly Bags Are Made

Manufacturing Custom Poly Bags

At NAIGU Manufacturing, we produce poly bags using a blown-film extrusion technique. This involves forming plastic through extrusion, which is then wound onto rolls. Our poly bag manufacturing machines are designed to seal and cut these bags to meet the specific requirements of each client. Here's a detailed overview of the poly bag production process.

Step 01

1. The Blown-Film Extrusion Process

The production of poly bags begins with the blown-film extrusion process, which involves several key steps:

  • First, small plastic pellets, known as resin, are heated and melted until they become soft and flexible.
  • Next, the molten resin is forced through a circular die to create a continuous tube of plastic. This tube is then pinched off at one end and inflated, expanding it to the required size and thickness for the final product.
  • The inflated plastic bubble is then guided up a vertical tower to cool, after which it is flattened and wound onto a roll.
  • Once on the roll, the plastic can be processed into various forms, such as tubing, single-wound sheeting, or centerfold sheeting. Typically, we use this plastic to produce poly bags.

2. Converting Plastic Rolls into Poly Bags

Once the blown-film extrusion process is finished, we convert the plastic rolls into poly bags through the following steps:

  • The plastic tubing or sheeting rolls are fed into a machine that extends the material to the desired length.
  • The machine then seals the material at the specified length and cuts it to create a single poly bag.
  • This procedure is repeated as needed to produce the required quantity of poly bags for each order.
Common Questions
Common Questions
Poly Bag Production
How Many Poly Bags Can You Make in An Hour?
As with many manufacturing processes, the production speed varies. We can produce up to 70,000 poly bags per hour, depending on their size. For larger bags, however, the output may be around 2,000 bags per hour.

The speed of poly bag production is influenced by the size and thickness of the bags, but overall, it remains a very efficient process.
What's the Secret to Making Quality Poly Bags?
The key to producing high-quality film for poly bags lies in using advanced equipment. A machine's ability to consistently manage the flow of material directly impacts the uniformity and quality of the final product.

At NAIGU Manufacturing, we utilize state-of-the-art poly bag manufacturing machines equipped with servo drive motors. This technology provides precise control and accuracy throughout the production process, ensuring the superior quality that defines an NAIGU poly bag.
